This role is part of the Adaptive Security team and reports directly to Jonathan Bell.Key ResponsibilitiesDesigns, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements softwareTroubleshoots production problems related to software applicationsResearches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new product integrations based on requirementsDesigns and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing softwareAddresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platformsConsults with project teams and end users to identify application requirementsPerforms feasibility analysis on potential future projects to managementAssists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing toolsResolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancementsInstructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development teamParticipates in development of software user manualsDeveloping top quality, stable codeEnsuring product components are easily tested and maintainedSkills, Knowledge And ExpertiseAt least 10 years of C++/C programming experienceBroad knowledge of operating system internals, including Windows, Linux, and/or Mac OS XBroad knowledge of security technologies.Knowledge of file system and network driversAbility to optimize inefficient codeStrong problem solving and analysis abilityKnowledge of X86 and X84 AssemblyAbility to work with others in a constructive and collaborative mannerAbility to work independently and in a collaborative team environmentSelf-starter, strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitudeAbility to manage own work, multi-task and prioritize tasksAbility to remain organized while multi-taskingDesired ExpertiseReverse engineering and malware analysis experienceStrong OS kernel development and debugging abilityNuix is an equal opportunities employer.
