Safety AssistantPoly-America, L.P., leading plastics manufacturer, is currently hiring a Safety Assistant to join our team. Poly-America produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags, construction films, and agricultural films.ResponsibilitiesMaintain MSDS database and libraryConduct safety equipment inspectionsAssist with facility safety auditsIssue lockout/tagout supplies and maintain appropriate recordsMaintain facility and equipment safety signage and labeling programCompile and prepare injury trend dataHeavy data entry using MS Excel and AS-400Additional duties as become necessary and/or are assigned by managementQualificationsProficient knowledge of MS Office software and applicationsExperience in an industrial safety department preferredAbility to work independently and complete work with minimal supervisionAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, managers, and other departments.Poly-America offers competitive wages plus a comprehensive benefits package including Medical/Dental, paid vacations and holidays, 401(K) and more!IND123
