Roofing Crew Leader
JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roofing Crew Leader to lead and supervise the roofing crew. The Roofing Crew Leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the roofing crew, ensuring safety compliance, quality workmanship, and timely project completion. Whether you're in the shop or on-site, you'll work with professionals who take pride in their work.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Supervision:Lead and manage a team of roofing technicians and laborers, ensuring each member is performing safely and efficiently.Provide clear directions and communicate job expectations to crew members.Motivate and support the team to achieve daily goals and high-quality workmanship.Training and Development:* Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to crew members, ensuring they develop their skills and grow within the company.* Lead by example by demonstrating best practices in roofing techniques and customer service.Relational Interaction:* Assert leadership, Management and Teamwork skills.* Should be able to collaborate effectively with others and work within the company's established system.Management:* Coordinate with the project manager and other team members to ensure all materials, tools, and equipment's are available on site for job efficiency and completion.* Ensure proper documentation and reporting of progress, materials used, and any issues or changes arise.EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum of five years' roofing experience, with one year in a leadership or supervisory role.Knowledge of Built-Up Roofing, Adhesive systems, Torch modified & Single-Ply RoofingGood mathematical, reading and time management skillsGood attendanceSPECIAL SKILLS OR EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:Capable of reading blue-prints and manufacturer specificationKnowledge of Florida Building Code (FBC)Knowledge of OSHA Compliance (Obtain OSHA 10- or 30-hour Certification)JOB DUTIES:Conduct hands-on training of new crew members.Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage a diverse team.Maintain good public relations with customers.Maintain a safe working environment according to OSHA standards and requirements.Plan job workload in advance.Maintain equipment at jobsite.Ability to solve unforeseen dilemmas and problems on the jobsite as they occur.Benefits:Excellent starting salaryBenefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Uniform, Retirement Plan and Short-Term DisabilityPaid time off and holidays
