This role requires deep expertise in federal cybersecurity frameworks and hands-on experience with modern security tools and cloud environments.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct ongoing security assessments aligned with NIST, FISMA, and CISA guidelinesEngineer and maintain secure systems and infrastructureImplement and troubleshoot security solutions across LAN, Azure, and wireless environmentsManage and optimize security tools including SIEM, Syslog, NDR, EDR, Firewalls, M365 Security, and CDMPerform continuous monitoring, threat hunting, and log analysisLead incident response activities and develop incident handling proceduresBuild and enhance security orchestration and automation (SOAR) capabilitiesCollaborate with CISO and stakeholders to improve cybersecurity and privacy postureDevelop detection and response policies to improve automationProduce security metrics, reports, and documentationMaintain SOPs and security operations documentationQualificationsBachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of cybersecurity operations experienceStrong knowledge of NIST, FISMA, and federal security frameworksExperience with Microsoft security stack (Defender, M365, Azure)Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, NDR, and incident responseStrong analytical and threat hunting skillsPreferred CertificationsCISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
