Position SummaryThe Medical Assistant for Family Medicine is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care and administrative support in a team-based environment while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office. The Medical Assistant functions under the license of a provider when performing clinical and other patient care responsibilities. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis). This is a scheduling and support position in a busy and dynamic educational conference building. Customer service, communication and organizational skills are essential. A background in the hospitality industry is preferred. This position requires you to be onsite at the Dana Health Education Center. Schedule: 30 hours per week, 5 days a week. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred. License/Certifications: N/A Experience: 4-5 years of experience in an administrative support role preferred. Demonstrated experience with all Microsoft Office suite products.
