Culinary Specialist

**Overview:** We are an afterschool program seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and food service, with experience in culinary arts, kitchen operations, and teaching. **Responsibilities:** · Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, including handling utensils, equipment, dishes, storage areas and refrigerators. · Prepare nutritious and age-appropriate meals and snacks for children, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and allergies. · Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring a safe environment for food preparation. · Monitor and manage inventory kitchen supplies, ensuring that necessary ingredients are stocked; check the quality and freshness of ingredients. · Stay informed about children's dietary restrictions and allergies, ensuring that meals are prepared accordingly. · Operate and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers. · Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature apparent or as assigned. **Requirements:** - Proven experience as a cook or culinary specialist - Knowledge of food handling procedures and kitchen operations - Understanding of food safety regulations - Serv Safe Certification If you are passionate about culinary arts, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
