Data Centre Network Deployment Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our network infrastructure deployment team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working with minimal supervision to drive the expansion of next-generation networks. This role requires a self-starter with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and significant experience supporting large-scale, enterprise-class networks. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal customers and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution, while demonstrating excellent network implementation and troubleshooting skills backed by a proven documentation methodology.Responsibilities:Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processesWork closely with Network Engineering and Network Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth rollout of new designs and productsScale support across several data center locations and assist with day-to-day capacity managementManage work and priorities through a ticketing system and workflowCollaborate with various stakeholders to identify and remove project obstaclesTroubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including network device configuration and low-level application interactionComplete customer requests via the Remedy trouble ticketing systemParticipate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardwareTravel within the Virginia region as requiredSkills:Strong TCP/IP networking knowledgeBroad understanding of infrastructure technologiesKnowledge of network cabling and standard optic typesFamiliarity with common networking terms and protocolsEthernet and IP networking knowledge with experience in the application of IP protocolsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact efficiently with peers and customersEffective prioritization and time management skillsExperience dealing with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressureAbility to sit in front of a computer for an entire scheduled 8-hour shift while maintaining a high level of alertness and attention to detailAbility to move and lift computer equipment up to 35 lbsQualifications:1-3 years of relevant experienceSubstantial background in large-scale data center network implementations and supportExperience working in virtualized enterprise networking environmentsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organization at the forefront of next-generation network infrastructure.
