Lead Housekeeper
Job Title: LEAD HOUSEKEEPER
Pay Transparency: $22/hour
Hours Needed: Monday - Friday, 5am - 1:30pm
Role and Responsibilities
The Housekeeping Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating all Housekeeping Department activities of the Fitness Center in order to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and member satisfaction.
Specific Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Ensure legendary customer service, a spotless club environment, and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the department and ensure service standards are followed
Address guest concerns and react quickly logging and notifying proper departments as required
Be responsive to member feedback.
Hire, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate housekeeping staff
Train all new staff with the customized, club-specific cleaning checklists
Ensure adequate inventory of maintenance and locker room supplies
Maintain high visibility during peak club hours
Perform all other projects and responsibilities as required
Work together as a TEAM with all departments.
Conduct new employee and quarterly staff safety training
Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
Other Functions
Uphold Active Wellness written policies and procedures.
Enforce policies fairly and consistently.
Attend Active Wellness management meetings, pieces of training, and retreats.
Conduct a physical inspection of the entire club several times a day and make any corrections.
Maintain safety standards from OSHA.
Make sure that the club is well stocked and really clean
Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by Active Wellness
Promote club services and activities
Assist with keeping the club well stocked and clean
Attend Active Wellness site meetings and training
Handle injury and illness and security incident reporting
Requirements:
Qualifications and Education Requirements
At least 1-2 years experience in housekeeping or janitorial services and customer service experience desired; experience in hospitality or health clubs is a plus.
English language skills to communicate with members and staff
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
Knowledge of using cleaning supplies
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and highly responsive with a commitment to customer service
Strong verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills, customer service skills, results-oriented, ability to multitask, and commitment to the fitness industry
AED/CPR/First Aid Certified
Proof of citizenship or legal status
Physical and Working Conditions
Ability to take the responsibility for the health and safety of others
Ability to stand for several hours in the same shift; ability to lift 25 lbs
Fitness club environment
Must follow OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards
