Maintenance SupervisorSaint Joseph, MO 64501Employment Type: ContractPay Rate: $35/hourJob Description#INDSTJO We are looking for a competent Maintenance Technician Supervisor to manage maintenance of our equipment in our facilities. You will be responsible for hiring and training staff and ensuring the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations as well as perform maintenance duties as needed. Must have technical skills and knowledge of various equipment related to our industry. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling are essential. The goal is to ensure that facilities and machines are in good and safe condition at all times.Responsibilities:Perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure that production machinery runs smoothlyInspect, operate, or test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctionsPerform routine maintenance for all company vehiclesPerform inspections of equipment in accordance with company policyPerform emergency repairs as neededComplete tasks as assigned by managementComply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulationsTroubleshoot and repair 3 phase electrical, AC & DC systems, control circuitry, VFDs & PLCs, mechanical or hydraulic problemsMaintain plant facility and utilities through routine inspectionsEnsure completion and updating of appropriate records, documents, and/or reportsInspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenancePrepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate workRecruit, supervise and train maintenance techniciansHire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure complianceMonitor inventory of materials and equipmentParticipate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations, new equipment installs)Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulationsAll other job duties assignedSkills:Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar roleStrong technical knowledge of Welding, CNC, Lathes, Lasers, Saws, overhead cranes, etc.Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulationsUnderstanding of budgeting and performance managementExcellent planning and leadership abilitiesComputer savvyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh school diploma; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus
