Hardness Surveillance Lead and Survivability EngineerAs The Hardness Surveillance Lead and a survivability engineer, you will support Minuteman III (MMIII) Reentry System (RS) Reentry Vehicle (RV) sustainment under the Test and Assessment program. This will be accomplished by supporting the following areas:Managing and conduction annual testing of system components to support the Air Force 5-year testing plan used to better understand the overall health of the MMIII system.Conduct Both System-generated Electromagnetic Pulse (SGEMP) testing and Electronic Parts testing (EPARTs).Working cross-functionally with finance and subcontracts team to complete contracting effortsPerform testing analysis and providing analysis reports to the Air Force customerApplying electrical, electronics and nuclear physics theories to execute various tasks related to Survivability engineering fieldPerforming technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systemsEnsuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraintsEnsuring that military space vehicle and missile designs, from the component level to the system level, will meet performance requirements during and after exposure to specified environments; these environments include natural space radiation and man-made radiationConducting technical planning, specification requirements derivation, modeling and analysis, design, test planning and execution, documentation, requirements verification/validation to support overall system needs and act as technical consultant for management and customersBasic QualificationsBachelors' degree in Nuclear Engineering or Electrical EngineeringExperience with performing radiation analysis (radiation transport, activation analysis, criticality analysis, health physics, or similar) through work experience or coursesUS Citizenship with minimum active SECRET Security ClearanceKnowledge of test and lab environmentsExperience with data managing tools such ad MATLAB and/or Microsoft ExcelAbility to assess cost, schedule, and time requirements to complete a projectFamiliarity with MCNPFamiliarity with electronics and circuitsDesired SkillsPrevious work related to Air Force Nuclear HardnessFamiliarity with radiation test facilitiesKnowledge of electromagnetic environment and theoriesUnderstanding of MCNPUnderstanding of electronics and circuitsUnderstanding of nuclear environments and nuclear effectsUnderstanding of electronic, electrical, electromechanical and electrooptical (EEEE) componentsUnderstanding of LTSpice, PSpice, or other circuit design and analysis softwareAdvanced degree in a related subject areaEnthusiastic learner, independent thinker, and team-playerProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practicePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
