Senior Accountant needed!!We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with deep expertise in multi-jurisdictional tax compliance to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will own the full tax accounting cycle — from VAT and sales tax filings to income tax provisions and financial statement preparation — while serving as a subject matter expert across the organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTax Compliance & ReportingPrepare, review, and file value-added tax (VAT) returns across applicable jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and on-time submissionManage end-to-end sales and use tax compliance, including nexus analysis, rate updates, and multi-state filingsCalculate and maintain income tax provisions (current and deferred) in accordance with ASC 740Support preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns in coordination with external tax advisorsMonitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the organization's compliance obligationsAccount Reconciliation & General LedgerPerform monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations of all tax-related balance sheet accounts, including:Sales tax payable and VAT payable/receivable accountsDeferred tax assets and liabilitiesIncome tax payable and estimated tax prepaymentsInvestigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner; escalate material variances to managementMaintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation for all tax accountsFinancial Statement PreparationAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPPrepare and review tax-related disclosures for financial statement footnotesSupport month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all tax entries are recorded accurately and on scheduleCollaborate with external auditors during annual audit, providing tax workpapers and responding to inquiriesCross-Functional SupportServe as internal resource for tax-related questions from finance, operations, and business development teamsPartner with AP/AR teams to ensure proper tax treatment on vendor invoices and customer billingIdentify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and auditability of the tax functionQUALIFICATIONSRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant focus on tax complianceHands-on experience with VAT, sales & use tax, and income tax provisionsProficiency in account reconciliations and month-end/year-end close processesStrong working knowledge of GAAP and ASC 740Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling)High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
