Translator and Interpreter -Japanese bilingual

Position: Translator/Interpreter to President Language: Japanese and English Work Hours: 8am-5pm, 40h/week (occasional adjustment is needed for meetings with Japan, etc.) FLSA: Non-exempt Salary range: Around $60K-$80K/year (DOE) Duration: Approximately 2 years assignment Job Overview This role supports executive leadership at the headquarters of an automotive parts group company. Key responsibilities include executive-level interpretation/translation, internal communication support, coordination with U.S. subsidiaries, and communication with Japan headquarters. The role also includes accompanying executives to U.S. subsidiaries and supporting selected General Affairs (GA) tasks such as company vehicle management and invoice processing. Main Duties (Approximately, Translation/Interpretation 70%, General Affairs 30%) 1. Executive Interpretation & TranslationProvide simultaneous/consecutive interpretation for executive meetings and high-level discussions.Translate executive documents, presentations, and confidential communications between Japanese and English. 2. Communication SupportSupport communication with U.S. subsidiaries and Japan headquarters/group companies.Assist in preparing and delivering messaging for internal and external stakeholders. 3. Support During U.S. Subsidiary VisitsAccompany executives on business trips to subsidiaries in MI / NC / TX / IL / KY / TN. (Once a month or less)Provide on-site interpretation and coordination during meetings, plant tours, and executive reviews. 4. Document & Presentation SupportPrepare and translate reports, briefing materials, and presentations using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and consistency with corporate standards. 5. General Affairs (GA) SupportManage company vehicles (scheduling, maintenance coordination, tracking).Support invoice handling and general administrative tasks for executive operations.
