Job DescriptionThe Vice President, Occupied Maintenance is responsible for providing national leadership and strategic direction for all occupied home maintenance operations across the Tricon portfolio. This role oversees both the National In-House Maintenance and National Vendor Maintenance departments. This leader will drive the transformation and scaling of maintenance operations, with a focus on optimizing technician-based field service delivery, enhancing resident experience, improving operational efficiency, and developing new revenue-generating service lines. The role will partner closely with centralized operations and Region of Excellence (ROX) leaders to enforce standards, optimize resource planning, and ensure consistent, high-quality service excellence across a multi-state portfolio.Preferred location is Tustin, CA; however we are open to candidates based remotely or located within one of our operating markets.Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.Provide national leadership and governance over occupied maintenance programs (both in-house and vendor), ensuring consistent execution across cost, quality, and service timelines.Lead and optimize large-scale, technician based service operations, including dispatch, routing, workforce planning, and technician productivity. Spearhead the strategic expansion and scaling of ancillary maintenance service lines, targeting new market segments to drive diversified revenue growth and portfolio monetization.Drive operational efficiencies by maximizing technician density and routing to effectively monetize gaps in scheduling and heavily offset payroll.Partner with regional and field leadership (ROX VPs) to optimize resource planning, staffing models, and performance management.Design and implement scalable workforce strategies that prioritize service availability and resident satisfaction while driving maximum technician productivity and operational efficiency.Champion technology enablement and process automation, guiding the transition from legacy systems and specialized pilot software to the new enterprise Field Service Management (FSM) platform.Build and mentor high-performing teams, developing future leaders and reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Qualifications:Strong analytical background with the ability to leverage data to drive operational and service improvements.Experience leading large-scale, distributed service operations with a focus on efficiency, productivity, and quality.Proven ability to design and implement process improvements, automation, and scalable operating models.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.Experience leading and transformation initiatives, including system implementations and operational redesign.Strong project management skills with attention to detail and execution.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).10+ years of leadership experience in field service, maintenance, construction, or technician-based operations at scale.Proven experience managing multi-market service delivery operations, including both in-house and vendor/contractor technician networks.Demonstrated success improving operational performance, including efficiency, cost, and customer experience outcomes.Strong preference for experience in real estate, Single-Family Rental (SFR) or multi-site residential property management experience.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, including:Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear.Frequently required to stand and move; use hands to grasp, squeeze, finger, handle, and feel; reach, push, and pull with hands and arms; occasionally required to twist; reach overhead; stoop, kneel, squat, bend, and crouch.Occasionally lift, carry, and move up to 10 pounds.Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.Salary RangePlacement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.$168,260.00 - $312,480.00At Tricon, we are committed to creating a workplace where every individual is valued for their unique contributions, experiences, voices, and backgrounds.
