Junior Designer (Interior Design)

Position: Junior Interior DesignerJob Overview:Our company is searching for a creative and motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our team in our Georgetown office. This role will work directly with the Lead Designer and Design Assistant. The ideal candidate is passionate about design and has a strong understanding of design principles and techniques. The candidate should have excellent attention to detail, be highly organized, and possess strong communication skills.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field2+ years of professional experience or relevant internships in residential interior designStrong interest in high-end residential design and eagerness to grow within the fieldProficiency in AutoCAD (required) and basic design presentation toolsStudio Designer experience strongly preferredWorking knowledge of furniture, finishes, textiles, and materialsStrong organizational and time-management skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracy in documentationClient-service mindset with professionalism and empathyCollaborative, proactive team player with a positive attitudeAbility to accept feedback and implement direction efficientlyPolished, confident client-facing presenceAbility to communicate clearly with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members in both office and on-site environmentsPhysical RequirementsAbility to physically navigate active project and construction sites, including ascending and descending stairsAbility to lift and carry packages or materials up to 30 lbs as neededAbility to stand or move for extended periods during site visits and installationsResponsibilities:Support the larger project team by acting as an apprentice and backup to the Project Manager and DesignerAssist with tasks outlined in the Project Manager and Designer role definitions as directedContribute to the development of space plans, furniture plans, and overall design decisions under supervisionPrepare design drawings, layouts, and presentation materials in alignment with approved design directionCreate, update, and maintain finish schedules, furniture schedules, and related documentationEnsure accuracy and consistency across design documentsAssist with proposal preparation and selection documentation as neededParticipate in client and vendor meetings as requested, supporting senior team membersAssist with site visits, installations, and punch lists as neededAccess to a car is requiredWe are seeking a candidate who is driven and passionate about design, and who is excited to join a dynamic and collaborative team.
