Minimum Requirements: - Eighteen (18) years of age - Three (3) months of Food Processing experience - Basic touchscreen navigation; use a scanner and touch screen for computer Preferred (not required): - GED or High School diploma Employer Notes: - This employer conducts a drug test and a background check before first day of employment - Shall not pose a threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace - Safely climb in and out of forklift - Climb stairs - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; lift, carry, bend & walk on various heights Job Duties: - Checks with the production supervisor and/or QC at start of shift to confirm batch recipe, and specifications - Read and understand written and verbal instructions, and write at a level necessary to meet job expectations - Makes sure that the necessary materials (sugar, (and other ingredients to be used), scale, wash buckets, (and other tools), are clean and are at the work area - Accurately measures ingredients to conform with the recipe - Accurately records ingredient usage, lot information and control data - Mixes ingredients and checks brix levels as mandated by formula - Maintains slurry levels to ensure continuous supply to the Filler - Monitors equipment and materials and reports any problems to supervisor and/or QC and informs supply driver of shortage of materials before running out - Turns off equipment as required at break(s), lunch and end of shift - Makes slurry as required. At end of shift may be required to put excess slurry in drums - Properly closes and stores ingredients containers at end of shift - Returns records to supervisor at end of work shift - Working knowledge of business math; addition, subtraction, fractions and decimals; calculate figures and expect math outcomes to verify and cross check formula functions - Learn how to use a forklift to acquire materials when no supply driver is present - Pick up, lift, stack and/or move various objects and containers of up to fifty pounds repeatedly throughout the shift - Move materials using appropriate mechanical aids (i.e. lift truck, barrel jack, pallet jack - Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form - Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.95 - $18.76 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Schedule: Day shift Application Question(s): Are you at least eighteen (18) years of age?
