Accounting Clerk - Automotive Billing/Contracts

Martin Automotive Group is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team at Dayton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. The Accounting Clerk provides assistance to Controller with sales and expense analyses for all departments. Fairly represents the financial condition of the facility, develops controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, maintains accurate records and establishes and maintains the date processing capabilities to accomplish the facilities' objectives.Responsibilities: Process and finalize all vehicle billing transactions accurately and in a timely mannerReview and verify deal paperwork for completeness and complianceSubmit contracts to lenders and ensure proper funding procedures are followedMaintain accurate records of all transactions and cancellationsHandle warranty cancellations, gap cancellations and service contract refundsComplete all necessary paperwork for new employees on their first day of workReconcile schedules related to contracts, warranties and receivablesCommunicate with finance managers, lenders and customers as neededEnsure compliance with dealership policies and state regulationsComplete all training as directed by managementFollow policies and procedures as set forth in Personnel Policy Manual and other corporate policiesAny other duties as assignedRequirementsMUST have prior automotive dealership experience (billing, contracts or accounting office)Strong knowledge of dealership management systems (Dealer Track, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc. preferred)Excellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Preferred Qualifications:Experience with warranty and GAP cancellationsAccounting or bookkeeping backgroundFamiliarity with DMV/title processing is a plusBenefitsCompetitive pay based on experiencePaid time off and holidayHealth, dental and vision insuranceOpportunities for growth within the dealershipautomotive, office manager, assistant controller
