GreeterJOB PURPOSE:The primary purpose of this position is to positively represent the Buffalo Wild Wings Brand as a first point of contact for Guests. This role is responsible for ensuring Guests are seated in a timely matter, and that all Guest needs are managed with a sense of urgency in a friendly and helpful manner.CORE JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide friendly welcome to incoming guests by opening by opening the door and ensuring timely seatingManage seating waitlist, seat guests in appropriate area to ensure they are comfortable and that a particular server does not have too many tables and monitor workflowAccurately communicate waiting times to Guests and maintain constant communication to ensure they updated in regards to their seating status and escort Guests to tablesNotify guests of specials and promotions and that their server will be with them promptlyAssist with the assembling of takeout orders and answer telephones when necessaryAssist Servers with running food, bussing tables, and refilling drinks, but does not serve alcohol if under age 21Maintain cleanliness and organization of host station, ensuring all menus are properly stocked and clean, restock supplies as necessaryRespond to customer complaints and bring any issues to the attention of the managerThank guests as the leave and solicit feedback about the quality of service of they experienced, express hope that they will return to BWW in the futureOTHER JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist Front of House Team MembersBus and pre-bus tables and deliver food to guests when necessaryOther duties as assigned by supervisorKnowledge/Skills:Superior customer service and hospitality skillsKnowledgeable of proper sanitation, food safety, and security proceduresKnowledgeable of BWW food and beverage menus and ability to make suggestions to guestsKnowledgeable of current marketing promotions and up-coming events to inform guestsExcellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills in order to serve BWWs guests Skill in time management and organization with excellent attention to detailAbility to take direction and execute team and company objectivesBasic mathematical skills with ability to handle money accurately process credit card transactionsBasic knowledge of Point of Sales systemsConflict management skills, analytical skills, and high degree of emotional intelligence in order to recognize and solve problems that come with the positionStrong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in restaurant environmentRequiredMinimum 16 years of age (State Minor Labor Laws Supersede)PreferredPrior experience in restaurant or customer service role
