Role Overview
The AI Solutions Engineer will lead the design, development, and deployment of AI‑enabled products and solutions. This role translates business needs into scalable, production‑ready capabilities. As a member of the Technology Innovation Office, you will partner with various technology teams to identify high‑value opportunities, apply AI technologies, and integrate capabilities into enterprise platforms and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with business leaders and innovation teams to identify and prioritize high‑value AI and automation opportunities.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and delivery roadmaps.
Design, build, and deploy production‑grade Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions.
Architect and implement end‑to‑end AI pipelines, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, and MLOps.
Collaborate with technology teams to embed AI models into automated workflows with reliability and control.
Provide technical leadership in defining AI product vision, MVPs, and backlogs.
Guide the adoption of cloud and PaaS platforms to deliver AI and data solutions.
Implement responsible AI practices, including explainability, bias testing, and ongoing model monitoring.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, statistics, or a related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and professional work experience will be considered. An advanced degree is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience across data science, software engineering, and/or solutions architecture is necessary, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML delivery. This includes a proven ability to lead proofs of concept and transition solutions into production.
Technical Skills: Strong hands‑on experience building AI and ML solutions using Python and modern ML frameworks is required. Candidates must have demonstrated experience operationalizing AI solutions, designing GenAI and LLM‑based solutions, and a solid foundation in data engineering and analytics (SQL, data modeling). A working knowledge of modern software engineering practices (version control, CI/CD, testing) and experience with major cloud platforms are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in insurance, InsurTech, or other highly‑regulated financial services.
Knowledge of API‑based and event‑driven architectures, containerization, and orchestration for scalable AI services.
