Early Career Manufacturing Engineer Associate Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Manufacturing Engineer Associate to support production operations through a combination of engineering fundamentals and administrative execution. This role is ideal for a candidate who understands basic manufacturing principles but is equally comfortable managing data, creating reports, and supporting cross-functional coordination. This position will play a critical role in enabling efficient production by maintaining accurate data, developing clear presentations, and leveraging modern tools-including AI-to improve workflows.Key Responsibilities:Support manufacturing engineering team with day-to-day operational and administrative tasksDevelop, maintain, and analyze production metrics, trackers, and dashboards in ExcelCreate clear, concise PowerPoint presentations for leadership reviews and program updatesAssist with documentation such as work instructions, process flows, and change trackingCoordinate across engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teamsTrack action items, risks, and schedule impacts across ongoing buildsUtilize AI tools to streamline workflows, improve reporting, and automate repetitive tasksSupport continuous improvement initiatives and basic root cause investigationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fieldUnderstanding of basic manufacturing principles (assembly processes, production flow, quality basics)US Citizen; Ability to obtain a government security clearanceDesired Skills:Strong organizational and communication skillsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, formulas, dashboards)Proficiency in TableauStrong skills in PowerPoint (executive-level presentations, data visualization)Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) for productivity and automationExperience with manufacturing environments (internships, co-ops, or projects)Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environmentBasic Knowledge of mechanical/manufacturing tools such as torque wrenches, hand tools, multi-meters, etc.Basic knowledge of overhead cranes, lifts, robotic systems, etc.Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
