ENTRY-LEVEL CAD TECHNICIAN

ABOUT THE ROLEThe ENTRY-LEVEL CAD Technician is responsible for preparation of production drawings, small scale erection drawing revisions, and project coordination used for fabrication and installation of precast concrete products. This position supports the department in maintaining internal scheduling for project requirements and deadlines.Salary range $23.00-$27.00 an hour. Based on experience.SAFETY IS OUR HIGHEST PRIORITY. They demonstrate accountability, adaptability, and a positive attitude, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVEHigh School Diploma or GEDAssociate degree in drafting degree preferredInterpersonal communication skills to work in a team setting, as well as in a 1-on-1 environmentAbility to solve problems quickly and efficientlyGeneral math skills and ability to read blueprints and plansBasic understanding of general construction practicesAbility to meet deadlines and follow project schedulesMotivation and self-drive are required to complete a taskAbility to use Revit along with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other computer software programsOrganizational and time management skillsAbility to multi-task and able to work on more than one project at once. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSOccasional visits to active plant and field locations are required based on operational needs.Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field.Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed.Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas.May be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and other standard industrial hazards.May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, as well as noise, dust, and vibration.This profile summarizes key duties and expectations but does not list every possible job task.
