IT Main Console Operator

We're currently seeking an IT Main Console Operator for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Commonwealth Office of Technology’s Enterprise Operations & Monitoring Branch. An increased hourly rate may be available after an interview and selection. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Commonwealth Office of Technology (COT) is seeking (1) contractor positions for the Enterprise Operations and Monitoring Branch in Frankfort. See below for type of position, job description, and hours needed. SHIFT\HOURS: 1st shift - 7:00am to 4:00pm w/ a hour lunch Monday-Friday POSITION REQUIREMENTS: · (2) years IT experience with extensive troubleshooting skills. · Operational knowledge Server, Unix, Unix Server, and VMWare. Data Center experience preferred. · Experience with network monitoring and introductory level administration. · Prior working knowledge in a ticketing system. · Would prefer that the candidate have held a position in the past requiring accurate execution of procedural business behaviors for a large organization. · Data Center procedural experience (NOC). · Experience using data center monitoring tools. · Experience following and maintaining procedural documentation. · Position will be located in Frankfort at Cold Harbor.
