Field Service Technician (Contract-to-Hire)Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite)Pay Rate: Target $25/hr-$28/hr Schedule: Onsite with up to 25% travel (primarily domestic; occasional international possible)SNI Technology has partnered with an organization in the Orlando area seeking a Technical Support & Field Service Technician to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is primarily office-based, supporting clients remotely, with approximately 75% of support conducted over the phone, and the remaining time spent traveling to client sites for hands-on support.This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with hardware, and providing technical assistance in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide phone-based technical support for hardware and system-related issues (approximately 75% of the role)Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while delivering strong customer serviceInstall, configure, and support computer and electronic hardware systemsRead and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting and setupDocument and manage service requests through a ticketing systemTravel to client sites for equipment installation, configuration, and support as neededAssist with setup, breakdown, and movement of technical equipmentRequired QualificationsPrior experience in phone-based technical support (required)Hands-on experience with hardware installation and configurationAbility to read schematics and wiring diagramsExperience with electrical or low-voltage systemsComfortable using hand toolsBasic computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience using ticketing systemsPrevious field service experienceTechnical degree or certification (electronics, computer hardware, or related)Strong general computer skillsAdditional RequirementsActive passport requiredMust be open to up to 25% travel (primarily domestic; occasional international)Ability to lift and move equipment as neededCandidates will typically be home on weekendsWhat to ExpectContract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potentialPrimarily onsite, office-based role with a mix of remote support and field workHands-on technical environment with customer interaction
