Vice President of ConstructionMiami, FL (Relocation assistance available)ABOUT THE ROLEA rapidly scaling infrastructure platform is seeking an execution-focused Vice President of Construction to lead delivery of large-scale hyperscale and AI-ready data center developments from groundbreaking through commissioning.This individual will serve as the accountable owner of the build, overseeing schedule, budget, safety, quality, and overall construction execution while managing the commercial relationship with the prime contractor.This is an owner-operator leadership role focused on execution excellence across highly complex, mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate brings deep experience leading large-scale data center or industrial infrastructure builds and is comfortable operating both strategically and tactically across active construction sites.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Own end-to-end construction delivery across large-scale mission-critical projects including planning, permitting, vertical construction, commissioning, and handover• Serve as the primary owner representative responsible for execution, contractor oversight, and project performance• Lead coordination between construction, design, engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership teams• Drive schedule performance, cost management, quality standards, and change order management throughout the project lifecycle• Oversee contractor and vendor relationships, including GC selection, negotiations, and execution management under AIA agreements• Ensure facilities are delivered to the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and operational readiness• Support the transition from preconstruction into field execution while maintaining alignment across stakeholders and site teams• Mentor and develop junior project staff supporting active buildsABOUT YOU• 15+ years of construction management, owner's rep, or general contracting experience within large-scale data center, industrial, or mission-critical infrastructure environments• Proven experience leading complex projects from groundbreaking through commissioning as the accountable owner• Strong understanding of mission-critical electrical, mechanical, and structural systems• Deep knowledge of AIA contracts, change order management, procurement, and contractor negotiations• Hands-on builder mentality with strong field leadership and operational execution skills• Strong communication and leadership abilities across executive, technical, and field teams• Experience using tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar construction management platformsIf you're interested in learning more, feel free to reach out directly or send over your resume/contact information and I'd be happy to coordinate a confidential conversation.
