It is founded and run by people who left careers in international development and decided to build something of their own. We primarily work with homeowners living overseas who trust us to care for their homes while they’re gone. We are organized, serious about quality, and scaling fast.We are looking for a reliable, resourceful Property Maintenance Specialist to help us keep our properties in great shape. No PowerPoint, no meetings that should have been an email, just real problem-solving and work you can see at the end of the day. Are you ready to trade the inbox for a toolbox?What you will doRoutine maintenanceOwn and execute recurring monthly and quarterly tasks across our properties: air filters, basic repairs, seasonal yardwork, and the dozen small things that keep a house running well. Show up promptly ahead of each visit, come prepared, complete the work, and log it.RepairsRespond to incoming maintenance requests, diagnose issues, and handle simple fixes directly. For specialized work (HVAC service, appliance repair, roof leaks), connect with one of our qualified vendors, meet them on site, supervise, and keep tenants and our team updated through completion.Turnovers and new propertiesHelp onboard new properties and prepare homes between tenants. Conduct walk-throughs, build a punch list, complete the basics (keypad locks, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers), and coordinate outside vendors for bigger tasks.Who you areYou do not need a contractor’s license or decades in the trades. You do need to be relatively handy and honest about what you know and what you don’t. The simple fact is that most home repairs can be tackled with common tools, a curious attitude, and a little support from YouTube. You are the kind of person who will try to figure it out, and knows when it’s time to call a pro.Beyond that, we are looking for someone who:•      Has real hands-on experience with typical home repairs or DIY projects — running toilets, leaky faucets, drywall repair, broken light fixtures, and the like.•      Shows up on time (five minutes early is preferred)•      Communicates clearly and professionally by phone, text, and email with tenants, homeowners, and vendors•      Plans ahead, comes prepared, and follows tasks through to completion•      Is resourceful, organized, and takes pride in doing things right•      Lives within roughly 30 minutes of Northwest DC and has reliable personal transportation•      Is physically able to lift 40+ pounds, carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.ScheduleCore hours are 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Some evening and weekend availability is expected, particularly for urgent repairs.
