Deployment Program Manager

Deployment Program ManagerGPU/AI Infrastructure Startup📍 Location: United States. Some travel likely.💰 Up to $200K, plus bonus and equityAs Deployment Program Manager, you'll own the program management for multiple concurrent GPU cluster deployments at a fast-scaling GPU compute business, from contract signature through customer go-live. You'll be the person holding the full picture across every deployment in flight: what's on track, what's at risk, and what's sitting on the critical path. This is a role for someone with real fluency in how GPU clusters actually come together, not a generic project manager who needs the technical parts explained. We're looking for someone who can build a dependency-aware plan spanning OEM hardware, data center build-out, cluster provisioning, and network turn-up, and then run several of those in parallel without losing the thread on any of them. You'll spot the schedule risk before it bites, pull the right people together to clear it, and translate a messy technical status into something a client can plan a go-live around and a Board can read in two minutes. This is a rare chance to sit at the center of how large-scale GPU clusters get delivered, at a defining moment for the market. If you can move from an OEM shipment slippage to a Board-level portfolio update without dropping a beat, and you know the deployment lifecycle from the inside, we'd love to speak with you. What you'll do & achieveHold the critical path across several live deployments at once, each with its own plan tracking hardware manufacturing and shipment, facility build-out, cluster provisioning, and connectivity dependencies.Build project plans that make the dependencies visible, so a slip in one workstream surfaces its knock-on effects before they reach the go-live date.Give clients a progress read pitched to their own go-live planning, not a raw technical status dump.Give executive leadership and the Board a portfolio-level view of status, risk, and financial impact across every deployment in flight.Catch risks, bottlenecks, and cross-workstream dependencies early, and own the mitigation and escalation to clear them fast.Run the vendor coordination hands-on: shipment timing with hardware OEMs, build schedules with facility operators, and turn-up with connectivity providers.Keep every workstream honestly reflected in the plan, working closely with the solutions architecture, data center operations, and supply chain teams.Carry enough working knowledge of GPU architecture and the build lifecycle, from facility readiness through install, vendor coordination, and acceptance testing, to ask the questions that catch problems early.Use that fluency to stay credible with technical stakeholders on every side of a deployment.Who you areSomeone who's run several complex deployments at once and kept them all on the rails, with 7+ years of program or project management behind you.Grounded in infrastructure delivery specifically, whether that's data center, telecom, or large-scale technology build-outs.Fluent enough in the GPU cluster lifecycle, facility readiness, hardware install, network turn-up, acceptance testing, to spot schedule risk before it lands.Practiced at reporting up and out: the same portfolio pitched one way for a client's go-live team and another for a Board.A confident hand with the vendors, coordinating OEMs, facility operators, and connectivity providers directly rather than through intermediaries.Comfortable living in the tooling that runs multi-workstream tracking, whether that's Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or Asana.Bonus points for PMP or equivalent, time at a neocloud, hyperscaler, or GPU infrastructure provider, or familiarity with NVIDIA Reference Architecture and cluster acceptance testing standards.*Follow Scout Global for more roles like this*
