Directional Drill Operator

Join our team and earn a $2,000 new hire bonus; those with related experience earn $3,000Position SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Directional Drill Operator, who will be responsible for operating Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch directional drills.Job Responsibilities• Place duct and fiber optic cable utilizing directional drilling and additional equipment, including excavators, backhoes, cable blowing and pulling equipment• Complete drilling logs• Maintain a clean work site to include all equipment• Inspect vehicles and equipment prior to use, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure, toensure their safe and proper operation• Drive trucks and equipment to job sites• Perform on call duties as required• Occasional out of town work may be required• Other duties as assignedEducation/Experience/Qualifications• High School diploma or equivalent is required• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable- Class A CDL highly preferred• Ability to operate Vermeer/Ditch Witch directional drills• Experience operating construction equipment, including backhoes, front-end loaders, air compressors, trenchers and hydraulic reel trailers is preferred• Ability to read and understand construction prints, maps and plans• Ability to work with limited supervision, in a safe and efficient manner• Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions• Ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionallyComprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance, 401k Retirement plan with Company match, generous PTO that starts accruing on your first day of employment, paid holidays, referral bonuses and more.
