Engineers here get genuine exposure to modern security practices and infrastructure challenges — not just a ticket queue.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the first point of contact for technical issues, taking ownership through to resolution or appropriate escalation.Support and maintain end-user hardware and devices including laptops, mobile devices (iOS/Android), and peripherals.Proactively monitor systems, manage updates, and carry out routine hardware and software maintenance.Communicate clearly with colleagues while maintaining accurate documentation of issues and resolutions within ticketing systems.Partner closely with internal IT and Systems Engineering teams to resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvements to support processes.Participate in an on-call rotation, providing after-hours and weekend support as required.Requirements5+ years of experience in a technical support or endpoint engineering role, ideally within a financial services or trading environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working across global teams and varied backgrounds.Solid understanding of Linux — comfortable working in the command line, troubleshooting system-level issues, and supporting Linux-based environments.Familiarity with FIX protocol — able to read and interpret FIX logs and support connectivity issues between trading systems and execution venues.A genuine curiosity for how technology works — someone who enjoys tinkering, experimenting, and understanding systems at a deeper level.Confident problem solver, able to apply critical thinking and research to tackle unfamiliar challenges.Adaptable and motivated — a willingness to learn is valued as highly as prior experience.Organised and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
