The work involves heavy civil construction, underground utilities, and water/wastewater infrastructure improvements.The Safety Coordinator will be embedded with project teams across the site, helping ensure compliance with safety standards, proactive hazard mitigation, and consistent safety communication. The role is hands-on and field-focused, supporting ongoing construction activities in a high-visibility, safety-critical environment.Qualifications✅ Bilingual in Spanish (mandatory)✅ 3-5 years of safety experience in Heavy Civil, Utility, Water, or Underground construction✅ Strong field-based construction safety background✅ OSHA 30 PreferredAdditional Requirements✅ High sense of urgency and ability to start ASAP✅ Ability to work extended hours and occasional Saturdays✅ Comfortable supporting multiple crews and site locations as neededKey ResponsibilitiesAssist with and participate in daily and weekly safety meetingsConduct jobsite safety audits and field observationsSupport injury reporting, documentation, and follow-upManage and track PPE compliance and usageCommunicate safety expectations with project teams and supervisionReview and oversee Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) prior to submissionSupport implementation of site-specific safety programsSkillsConstruction SafetyField Safety AuditsJHA ReviewInjury ManagementPPE OversightBilingual Communication (English/Spanish)OSHA StandardsKnowledge BaseThis role requires working knowledge of heavy civil and utility construction safety practices, OSHA regulations, job hazard analysis processes, and field-level safety enforcement.
