Nephrology Nurse Practitioner

Location:Burlington, MA Job SummarySeeking an experienced and collaborativeAdvanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)to join its multidisciplinaryKidney Transplant Program . This role focuses on co-managing kidney transplant recipients and living donor kidney patients within a respected academic teaching facility. You will work closely with transplant surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, advanced practitioners, and house staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Key ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of an attending physician, responsibilities include: Providing comprehensive preoperative, postoperative, and ongoing medical care in the outpatient settingDeveloping and implementing diagnostic and treatment plansOrdering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studiesProviding consultation services for nephrology and transplant patientsPrescribing and managing medications within scope of practiceEducating patients and families on transplant care and treatment plansProviding inpatient consult coverage as neededIdeal CandidateFlexible, motivated, and team-orientedComfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity academic environmentStrong communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teamsCommitted to high-quality transplant and nephrology careQualificationsAdvanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)Active Massachusetts license and appropriate national certificationEligible for or active Massachusetts DPH Controlled Substance registration and DEA registrationMinimum of1 year of Advanced Practice experiencerequired ( 3 years preferred )CompensationAnnual salary range:$133,120 $215,000Compensation is based on experience, education, training, certifications, geographic location, and job responsibilities, in accordance with applicable laws.
