A paraprofessional is responsible for providing superivision of students, assisting with instruction of reading, mathmatics, and other duties as assigned.Essential Performance ResponsibilitiesSupport students in meeting their academic goalsThe ability to teach scheduled classes, individual students, or small groups in the absence of the regularly scheduled teacher.Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or General Education Certificate (GED).Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.Ability to follow both oral and written directions and instructions and communicate in both oral and written means.Effectively present information and respond to students, parents, and staff.Ability to handle stressful situations.Maintain confidentiality of student matters.Effectively manage time and responsibilities.Professional appearance, attitude and demeanor.
