Plumbing & Piping Estimator
Description:The Plumbing & Piping Sales Engineer serves as a technical expert and client-facing resource responsible for developing and delivering plumbing and mechanical piping solutions. This role requires deep knowledge of mechanical and sanitary piping systems, including boilers, chillers, hydronic systems, and related equipment, and the ability to translate field conditions and design requirements into accurate, competitive proposals. Success in this role is driven by technical proficiency and systems knowledge, supported by relationship development and consultative sales, not transactional selling.This position serves as the technical point of contact for plumbing and piping solutions, with emphasis on:Mechanical and sanitary piping systemsBoilers, chillers, and hydronic distributionEquipment replacements, retrofits, and new installationsConduct detailed site visits and system evaluations to assess existing conditions, constraints, and scope of workInterpret drawings, specifications, and field conditions to develop appropriate technical solutionsPrepare accurate cost estimates, scopes of work, and technically detailed proposalsAdvise customers on system options, code considerations, constructability, and lifecycle performanceCollaborate closely with project management, engineering, and field teams to ensure clean handoff from sale to executionParticipate in kickoff meetings and support planning efforts for complex or high-value projectsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of plumbing and mechanical codes, products, and industry best practicesSupport long-term customer relationships through technical credibility and responsiveness Requirements: Strong working knowledge of plumbing and mechanical piping systems, including sanitary, domestic water, hydronic, boiler, and chiller systems.Ability to confidently discuss system design, materials, installation methods, and code requirements.Experience reviewing construction documents, specifications, and mechanical drawings.Prior experience in estimating, sales engineering, project engineering, or field supervision within plumbing/mechanical trades preferred.Comfortable operating in both commercial and high-end residential environments.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.Self-directed, organized, and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites.Eligibility RequirementsThis position requires a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.Employment/education will be verified.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Breen is a drug free workplace and requires post-offer pre-employment drug testing.Why Youll Love Working Here:$100K+ : Competitive base salary + commission structure.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement plan.Paid time off and holidays.Vehicle stipend.Professional development and growth opportunities in a supportive, team-driven culture.Great supportive team.Breen and Sullivan complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex.
