EOE/M/F/D/VJob SummaryMaintains kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Arrives to work on time for every scheduled shiftOperates the dishwashing machine to ensure proper cleaning of all dishes, silverware, glasses and various other items.Performs scheduled cleaning to facilitate kitchen needs, as assigned and maintains a clean, safe and sanitary work area.Scrapes food from dirty dishes and places them in rack or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.Stores equipment and utensils in proper areas after they are air driedSweeps and mops kitchen floorsWashes work tables, sinks, walls, refrigerators and empties waste after each meal.Cleans out garbage cansAssists with putting away food items upon deliveryAssists with tray assemblyMakes toast and helps the cook prepare other simple dishes as instructed by the cook or supervisorPerforms other simple tasks as requested by the cook or kitchen supervisorOther duties, assignments and/or special projects as required may be assigned that relate to the service of our residents to daily dietary department operations.Qualifications Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
