OverviewJob DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to screen/assist uninsured hospital patients to determine if they are eligible for Medicaid and various programs that may cover their medical expenses, and if so, assist with the application process.Work as a liaison between the hospital, uninsured patient, government agencies and main office.Work in hospital setting located in Dallas TexasQualificationsBilingual / SpanishHigh School Diploma or equivalentSome college preferredThree (3) years' experience in the healthcare and or government sector.Knowledge of County and State programs (Medicaid)Proficient in Microsoft office (Various hospital computer systems) a plus.Effectively communicate in a professional manner with patients/hospital internal staffGeneral understanding of hospitals and the healthcare industryAbility to work independently and have excellent time management skills.Responsible for managing a portfolio for Third Party eligibility/recoveryCompany DescriptionAdministrative social service/officeFinancial ServicesPatient AdvocateAdministrative social service/office Financial Services Patient Advocate
