Cut and Sew Apparel ManufacturingCommercial and Service Industry Machinery ManufacturingMetalworking Machinery ManufacturingHousehold Appliance ManufacturingGambling IndustriesJob DescriptionThis person will set up, start, and operate extrusion equipment to produce thermoplastic materials according to customer specifications and work orders, including loading raw materials, supporting the mixing and drying process, and feeding the extruder. monitor machine performance, temperatures, feed rates, and controls systems throughout the process (particularly within a twin screw, high-heat environment), and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Regularly walk the production line to check equipment, identify defects or malfunctions, and ensure safe operations, stepping in to troubleshoot or shut down machinery when necessary. You will collaborate with team members across the floor to support overall operations while maintaining a high level of focus and adherence to safety standards at all times.Required Skills & Experience1-3 years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment (plastics or extrusion strongly preferred) Ability to safely start up, set up, operate, and monitor production machinery with minimal supervision STRONG work ethic and positive attitude (Must be eager to learn) Basic math skills for measurements, adjustments, and quality checks Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule (Night Shift or Day Shift)Nice to Have Skills & ExperiencePrior to extrusion experience, especially in plastics or sheet extrusion Experience operating twin screw or single screw extruders Tow motor/forklift experience Familiarity with material mixing, drying, and feeding processes in extrusion Experience working with high-heat, continuous production environments Ability to perform light mechanical work Minor equipment adjustments Basic repairs (similar to automotive maintenance like changing brakes)Compensation: $48,000 to $50,000 per year annual salary with guaranteed overtime each week and an additional quarterly & annual bonus incentive.
