Custodian

Job Responsibilities Cleans offices, production areas, locker rooms, and other work areas according to departmental procedures, to include vacuuming, mopping, removing trash and garbage, washing windows, dusting furniture, filling dispensers, etc. Monitors cleaning supplies, notifying supervisor of low inventories. Assists with maintaining the grounds, performing snow removal and yard work as assigned. Completes and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Operates custodial equipment (i.e. floor sweeper, lawn mower, etc.) as required. Job Skills Requirements     Ability to read and interpret facility procedures and policies.  Proficiency with hand tools and custodial equipment.    Educational Requirements    High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.    Experience Requirements     Some prior maintenance experience preferred but not required.  Physical & Environmental Requirements    Some physical demand. Often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.    Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).    Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).    Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).    May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection must be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).   Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
