Recreation Therapist (RECT) Correctional Facility | Lancaster, CA Mon to Fri (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) | Mon to Thur (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) Pay: $70/hr (1099) We are seeking a Recreation Therapist (RECT) to provide structured therapeutic programs in a correctional healthcare setting. This role supports patient rehabilitation through individualized and group-based recreation therapy activities. Key Responsibilities Plan and lead therapeutic recreation sessions Complete functional & behavioral assessments Support coping skills, communication, and social interaction development Collaborate with the clinical team during IDTT meetings Maintain accurate and HIPAA-compliant documentation Promote a safe, positive, and therapeutic environment Requirements Bachelor’s in Therapeutic Recreation or related field NCTRC/CBRPC-approved fieldwork BLS Certification from AHA Minimum 12 months recent clinical experience (internships not accepted) Strong communication and therapeutic facilitation skills Apply today to begin a rewarding role in therapeutic rehabilitation!
