Landscape Architect - Richardson, TX

The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience in residential land development and/or site (commercial) development, from site planning and amenity design to planting and construction documentation. You will serve as a key project team member and collaborate closely with engineers, surveyors, planners, and developers to create attractive, sustainable environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop site and landscape designs that integrate with civil engineering plansPrepare conceptual designs, renderings, planting plans, and amenity layoutsProduce detailed construction documents, including hardscape, grading, and irrigation plansCollaborate with engineers, planners, architects, and clients throughout all project phasesCoordinate with local agencies to ensure compliance with zoning, landscape ordinances, and permitting requirementsParticipate in site visits, client meetings, and project presentationsSupport or manage project tasks, schedules, and junior staff as appropriateEducational & Certified RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture3–5 years of relevant experience in residential and/or commercial developmentRegistered Landscape ArchitectProficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with civil site design, grading, and infrastructure layout principlesStrong design skills and experience with construction documentation and detailingProven experience preparing detailed construction documents and landscape specificationsStrong knowledge of regional plant materials, design standards, and sustainability best practicesExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience coordinating directly with developers and municipal review agenciesFamiliarity with stormwater integration, irrigation design, and erosion control practicesWorking knowledge of Land F/X, SketchUp, Lumion, GIS, or other visualization toolsUnderstanding of irrigation design and sustainable landscape practicesLearning and Adaptive – In a growing business with a big mission our engineers must have an appetite for learning and skill improvement.Servant Leadership – Nobody is above any task and we are all here to serve others.
