This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, and wants to contribute to high-impact, large-scale AI initiatives.🔑 Key Responsibilities• Ensure chatbot reliability, safety, and compliance through strong guardrails and moderation systems.• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to support production reliability.• Conduct A/B testing to evaluate changes to prompts, models, or features.• Lead code reviews and uphold high engineering standards.• Support CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and infrastructure decisions.• Evaluate new AI technologies and drive architectural improvements.• Communicate proactively, raise risks early, and collaborate effectively.• Engage with stakeholders and incorporate user feedback.• Design, implement, and maintain relational/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).• Optimize database performance, data integrity, and security.• Manage document indexing and knowledge base updates for efficient retrieval.🎯 Basic Qualifications• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field• Master’s or Doctorate may substitute for required experience• 10+ years building and maintaining production-grade Python applications• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance• On-site work required in Woodlawn, MD (5 days/week)🧠 Required Skills• Deep expertise with production-scale Python development• Secure authentication experience (OAuth2, SAML, MFA)• Strong understanding of encryption and secure data handling• Testing frameworks experience• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases• Familiarity with automated deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)• Strong backend engineering experience (APIs, async programming, integrations)• Technical documentation skills• Experience with vector databases and semantic search• Hands-on experience with AI/LLMs in production• Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, AI agents, evaluation frameworks (Ragas, TruLens, Arize Phoenix)• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills✨ Desired Skills• DevOps experience (CI/CD, containers, cloud infrastructure, monitoring)• Experience with public-facing or regulated systems• Ability to analyze logs and user behavior for iterative improvements• Understanding of AI safety and responsible AI practices• Experience in fast-paced, startup-like environmentsIf you or someone you know is a strong Python engineer passionate about AI systems and production-grade reliability, feel free to reach out or apply!
