Job Description Construction Safety DirectorLocation: Minneapolis, MNType: Direct Hire | Full-Time W2 OpportunityCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $125,000 - $135,000 + BonusWeekly PayFull Benefits PackageGas Reimbursement ProvidedSchedule40+ hours per weekMonday-FridayTypical hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PMPotential for overtime and occasional weekend workProject ScopeThe Construction Safety Director will oversee safety operations for a General Contractor supporting new ground-up construction projects along with select rehab and remodel projects. Project types include fire stations, hospitals, multi-family housing developments, office buildings, and commercial facilities.This role will support approximately 10-15 active projects, all located within a 1-hour radius of Minneapolis, MN.QualificationsBCSP Certification OR a 4-Year Safety Degree requiredOSHA 500 Certification required5+ years of construction safety experience requiredExperience overseeing multiple active construction projects simultaneously preferredKey ResponsibilitiesConduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessmentsLead incident investigations and corrective action initiativesDevelop and execute site-specific safety plansCoordinate jobsite visits with the Safety Coordinator to ensure each site is visited at least twice per weekComplete safety documentation, planning tasks, and reporting remotely as appropriateAttend office meetings and support operational safety initiativesManage safety incentive programs focused on proactive safety performanceOversee workers' compensation and vehicle claims managementAdminister return-to-work and restricted duty programsLead or participate in Safety Committee activitiesAdminister and manage the Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) programSkills & KnowledgeSkillsExcellent public speaking and communication abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)Strong organizational and multitasking capabilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively across teamsProfessionalism and discretion with confidential informationKnowledgeStrong understanding of EHS regulations and construction industry safety standardsAbility to effectively communicate safety principles, policies, and regulatory requirements to field personnel and leadership teamsEqual Opportunity EmployerSheakley is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, marital status, national origin, disability, or any other protected status.
