As a distinguished veteran-owned professional services firm, they specialize in delivering comprehensive solutions across electric, gas, and water utilities, underpinned by a steadfast commitment to excellence, efficiency, and integrity.Job DescriptionLead the planning, execution, and delivery of utility engineering projects from initiation through closeoutDevelop and manage project scope, defining deliverables, controlling changes, and ensuring alignment with client standards and utility requirementsPrepare and manage cost proposals, estimates, project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metricsBuild and maintain detailed project schedules; identify critical path activities, risks, and mitigation strategiesCoordinate resource planning and workload allocation across single-discipline engineering teamsServe as the primary point of contact for clients, managing communication, expectations, and ongoing relationshipsLead project meetings with clients, internal teams, and vendors; drive accountability, decision-making, and action-item closureOversee preparation and submittal of engineering deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with utility-specific requirementsDirect procurement coordination, including vendor selection, bid evaluations, purchase requisitions, and subcontract oversightMonitor project risks, issues, and changes; implement corrective actions to maintain scope, schedule, and budget performanceEnsure adherence to QA/QC processes, project controls standards, and safety requirementsConduct site visits, field verification, and construction support coordination as requiredProvide mentorship and guidance to Associate Project Managers and team members assigned to projectsPrepare and deliver project status reports to clients and internal leadership, including financials, forecasts, and emerging risksDrive continuous improvement in project execution, processes, and client service deliveryMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
