Materials Supervisor
Job Summary:Forgent Power is seeking a Materials Supervisor with Industry Technical Expertise. The ideal candidate would have experience and be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the flow of materials and inventory required to support production and operations. This role ensures materials are available when needed. The Materials Supervisor works closely with the Materials Manager, planning, purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to support efficient and uninterrupted operations.This is a full-time, salaried, position. Typical working hours will be Monday - Friday with standard hours ranging from 7:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Additional working hours will be required dependent on the work load.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Plan and manage material requirements to support production schedulesOversee inventory control, including raw materials and WIPAct as a subject matter expert in the material planning systems (EPICOR)Monitor inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and physical inventoriesIdentify and implement inventory reduction and cost-saving initiativesEnsure proper storage, handling, and movement of materialsManage and mentor materials and inventory staffCollaborate with production, engineering, and logistics teamsEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsPrepare reports and KPIs related to inventory turns, shortages, and material costsRequired Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, related field, or pertinent work experienceMinimum 7-10 years' experience in materials management, planning, or supply chain operationsERP experience, preferably EPICOR, requiredKnowledge of Electrical Power Distribution Equipment preferredProven experience managing teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office tools and Lean principlesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesAbility to pass background and drug test prior to employment.Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish daily tasks while managing through shifting priorities and ambiguitySuperior problem solving, project management and analytical skillsPhysical Requirements/Working Environment: Office-based with regular interaction with the Manufacturing floor and 3PL warehouses.This position requires the ability to sit, and bend or stand for extended periods of time.May require after-hours availability to support operations.Benefits: PTO/ESSTPaid holidays$100 individual deductible and $300 family deductible health insurancePaid WeeklyVision and Dental Insurance401K / Life Insurance / STD#LI-TV1Salary Description$80,000 - $98,000
