Lead Electrical Engineer
The Opportunity PAE is seeking a technically proficient and collaborative Lead Electrical Engineer in our Seattle, WA office to guide project teams through the successful design and execution of complex electrical systems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level design and project management, overseeing the creation of comprehensive deliverables from initial narratives to final construction documents. We embrace innovation, transparency, sustainability, and lifelong curiosity.What You'll DoOversee the preparation of deliverables and documents including narratives, calculations, drawings and specificationsApplication of electrical distribution, lighting and power systems designAble to effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group Provide engineering direction and guidance for the project teamIndependently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through constructionOversee electrical load calculationsComplete the project within the budget and scheduleKnowledge of other disciplines and direct¬ interdisciplinary coordinationProvide updates to master specifications; provide input into standardsApply knowledge of building codes and electrical industry standardsPerform engineering calculations and equipment selectionProvide opinions of probable construction costsPerform site visits and issues reportsEngineering application of distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit and Arc Flash Energy analysis using Easy PowerImplement the project quality management plan (QMP)Perform other duties as assigned What You BringBachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline workRelevant Professional Credential (i.e., PE/EIT) preferredRequires a minimum 2-4 years of electrical engineering experience or 3-5 years’ related work experienceAdvanced understanding of electrical engineering concepts Thorough understanding of project phases and their associated deliverablesDevelop the ability to assemble and run a teamStrong delegation skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge and application of the NEC and relevant building and energy codesMicrosoft Office Suite Revit/AutoCADEasy PowerWhat We Offer Hiring Base Salary Range: $99,500-$113,900 annualThis position is eligible for time and a half overtime payThe base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, employees are eligible for annual compensation reviews based on performance and business needs.
