Fiber Optic Test & Measurement TechnicianSalary: 60,000 per year Perm with excellent benefits.Location: Newington, NH Hours: Will be 4 12 hour rotating shifts -Night Shift 6:00pm – 6:30amWill be responsible for performing detailed electro-optical and electrical testing on fiber optic cables and related systems throughout the production process. This role ensures products meet internal quality standards and contractual specifications by conducting testing, analyzing results, and documenting any non-conformances.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform characterization tests on fiber optic cables, including OTDR, Chromatic Dispersion, Polarization Mode Dispersion, and electrical tests such as High Voltage, Insulation Resistance (IR), and DC Resistance (DCR).Analyze test data to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards.Prepare cable ends and test setups using hand and power tools.Document results and generate reports for any failures or non-conforming products.Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and management teams to address testing outcomes and production needs.Follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to company safety practices.Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate testing records.Respond to multiple production testing assignments as required.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Associate degree in electrical/electronics technology or at least two years of related experience preferred.Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, ratios, and conversions.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Effective verbal and written communication skills.Flexibility to work different shifts, overtime, and weekends based on production needs.
