Rodman - UGPurpose:Underground and surface surveying related work. Prepares routine and on occasion, non-routine reports of work accomplished, as well as participating in the day-to-day operating functions related to surveying.Duties/Responsibilities:Performing all required field/office survey functions and associated technical design support involved with mining operations. Including but not limited to:Prospect and drill hole locationsKeeps surface maps current, which includes updating elevations, Etc.May provide guidance and direction to field survey crews.Operates standard surveying equipment, such as levels and measuring devices.May prepare routine reports such as reclamation, royalty, number of drill holes in the field and impoundment reports on a weekly/monthly basis, as well as quarterly estimates of coal production.Qualifications:WV Surface Miners Certification (preferred)One year of mine survey and volumetric experience (preferred)Experience with total station survey equipment, survey control networks, and GPS survey equipment (preferred)Willing to drive to various Blackhawk locations.
