Senior Counsel (Banking & Finance)

For a lawyer who wants to be close to where the action is, the deal flow and financing activity are exactly what you'd hope for.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead and execute on a broad range of banking and finance matters, including debt financings, credit facilities, project and infrastructure financing, and structured funding arrangements.Draft, review, and negotiate complex finance documentation, working closely with lenders, investors, and external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.Support capital markets activity and corporate financing initiatives as the business continues to scale.Advise senior leadership and commercial teams on financing structures, risk allocation, and transaction strategy.Manage relationships with external counsel and coordinate cross-border workstreams efficiently and cost-effectively.Partner with finance, treasury, and commercial functions to support the company’s capital allocation and growth objectives.CANDIDATE PROFILE10+ years of relevant experience, ideally combining top-tier law firm training with in-house exposure.Deep expertise in banking and finance, with a strong track record across debt financing, credit, and complex transactional work.Trained and/or practised at a leading US or international law firm; experience at a premier finance-focused practice is highly valued.Commercially minded, pragmatic, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the judgement to balance legal rigour and commercial pace.Admitted to practise in New York (or eligible to be).
