Part-Time Closing Server

POSITION DESCRIPTIONPOSITION TITLE: Server (Part-Time)EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Non-ExemptPOSITION REPORTS TO: General ManagerDEPARTMENT: DiningPOSITION SUMMARYAt Kingside Diner located in St. Louis Lambert International Airport, the Part-Time Server is responsible for delivering First Class Service through efficient, friendly, and attentive guest interactions. This role supports a high-volume airport environment and requires open availability Sunday through Saturday for closing shifts (12:30 PM - last flight).Servers are expected to create a positive guest experience through strong menu knowledge, timely service, and attention to detail while maintaining compliance with all company standards and procedures.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* Deliver First Class Service to all guests, consistently demonstrating professionalism and hospitality* Greet guests, present menus, answer questions, and provide recommendations to enhance the dining experience* Accurately take, input, and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner* Monitor guest experience throughout service and respond promptly to additional needs* Maintain full knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and all beverage offerings (including alcohol)* Process payments and handle cash in accordance with company Cash Handling and Loss Prevention procedures* Execute point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently* Build guest loyalty through engagement and suggestive selling techniques* Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area* Complete all assigned side work, including cleaning and restocking duties* Support overall restaurant operations (e.g., seating guests, answering phones, assisting team members as needed)* Address and resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary* Ensure responsible alcohol service and maintain required certifications* Comply with all food safety standards and applicable local, state, and federal regulations* Perform additional duties as assignedPOSITION REQUIREMENTS* High School Diploma or GED required* Previous restaurant experience preferred* Experience handling cash and using POS systems preferred* Must have open availability Sunday-Saturday for closing shifts (12:30 PM - last flight)* Strong customer service and communication skills* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment* Basic math, reading, and writing proficiency required* Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and walking long distancesEQUAL OPPORTUNITY STATEMENTParadies Lagardère is an equal opportunity employer.
