Description: About the RoleRenalCare Associates is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Renal Intervention Center team. This role supports patients through pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment focused on renal and vascular access procedures.The ideal candidate is clinically strong, patient-focused, and thrives in a collaborative surgical setting while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and confidentiality.Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Op & Recovery CareCoordinate and deliver age-appropriate, individualized pre- and post-operative patient careAdminister medications and IV fluids safely based on patient conditionMonitor, assess, and respond promptly to changes in patient statusManage pain assessment and interventions per provider ordersCommunicate post-procedure status with dialysis units, providers, and patientsOperating / Endovascular Room DutiesServe as circulating RN and oversee patient care within the procedure roomAssist surgeons, interventional nephrologists, and anesthesia staff during proceduresMaintain sterile field and adhere to aseptic technique at all timesMonitor sedated patients per ASC protocolsPerform instrument, sponge, and needle counts according to policyCoordinate efficient room turnover and patient flowPatient Advocacy & Care CoordinationReview and update patient charts, orders, labs, and medicationsEducate patients and families based on learning needs and readinessAct as a patient advocate while ensuring strict confidentialityCommunicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team membersMaintain thorough and accurate clinical documentationCustomer Service & CommunicationProvide professional, compassionate interactions with patients and familiesManage phone calls and patient inquiries efficientlyMaintain a calm, respectful demeanor in challenging situations Requirements: RequiredGraduate of an accredited school of nursingActive Illinois RN licenseBLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain within first month of employment)Basic computer proficiencyPreferred3+ years of professional nursing experienceExperience in nephrology, dialysis, surgery, radiology, or critical careCNOR or CRN certificationCompensation details: 35-42 Hourly WagePI4c39b26012e1-37483-39899395
