Research Business Operations and Communications Intern
Job DescriptionThis position supports the Correlation Research Division’s (CRD) assignment to provide timely, relevant, and reliable information to General Authorities and Church administrators to help them respond to the diverse challenges and opportunities of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As an intern, you will support the research Center of Excellence and Research Operations teams with operational needs related to policies, processes, communications, and business operations. Your efforts will provide support and resources that will benefit Church employees worldwide.ResponsibilitiesHelp document or update research processes, policies, and templates to facilitate understanding both within the Research Division and across the organizationCoordinate creation of SharePoint pages and infographics to make processes and policies accessible to both researchers and the broader workforceDevelop a communication plan to help employees learn about process and policy resourcesHelp examine existing workflows to find ways to improve operational efficiencySupport organization-wide research events (e.g., logistics, communications)Facilitate project management, including scheduling, tracking progress, following up, and ensuring projects move forwardQualificationsCurrently working towards or recently completed a degree in business management, business administration, business operations, communication, organizational development, social sciences, economics, or closely related fieldCandidates should demonstrate experience with at least one of the following: improving operations, technical writing, process documentation, process improvement, managing research project logisticsPreferred QualificationsExperience using software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and SharePointExcellent project management and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly, including strong writing skillsSome exposure to research concepts (via education or work experience)WORK ARRANGEMENTFlexible work arrangement that allows for remote work each week.
