Technical Product Manager – Automotive (MBSE & AI)Location: US (Detroit / Dearborn preferred or Hybrid)Experience: 10–15 yearsDomain: Automotive | SDV | MBSE | AI / GenAIRole Type: Technical Product Management / Product OwnerRole SummaryWe are seeking a Technical Product Manager (TPM) with strong experience in Automotive systems engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and AI / Generative AI to drive next-generation software-defined vehicle (SDV) and digital engineering products. This role bridges vehicle systems, software architecture, MBSE models, and AI-enabled capabilities, owning the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept and roadmap through delivery and OEM adoption.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & RoadmapOwn and evolve the product roadmap for MBSE- and AI-enabled automotive platforms and tools across E/E architecture, SDV, ADAS, Connected Vehicle, or EV domains.Translate OEM and Tier 1 business needs into clear product vision, epics, and features.Define value propositions for AI-assisted MBSE use cases (e.g., requirements analysis, model generation, V&V automation, digital thread enablement).MBSE & Systems EngineeringDrive adoption of MBSE practices using SysML / UML / MATLAB-Simulink / Cameo / Rhapsody / 3DX.Partner with systems engineers to align requirements, functional architectures, logical/physical models, and V&V artifacts.Ensure traceability across requirements ? models ? software ? validation within PLM/ALM ecosystems.AI / GenAI EnablementDefine and prioritize AI/GenAI features across automotive engineering workflows (MBSE Assist, requirement intelligence, test generation, anomaly detection, copilots).Collaborate with AI engineering teams on LLMs, RAG architectures, model governance, and edge/cloud deployment.Ensure AI solutions comply with automotive safety, security, and data privacy constraints.Cross-Functional LeadershipAct as the single product owner across engineering, data science, UX, DevOps, and validation teams.Work closely with OEM stakeholders, architects, program managers, and delivery leads.Drive Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, PI planning, and release management.Delivery & GovernanceDefine KPIs and success metrics (product adoption, engineering productivity, cycle-time reduction).Ensure compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and OEM-specific SDLC expectations.Support customer demos, roadmap reviews, and executive product updates.Required QualificationsCore Experience10+ years in automotive software, systems engineering, or digital engineering.3+ years in Product Manager / Product Owner / Technical Program Manager roles.Hands-on exposure to MBSE frameworks and tooling (SysML, Simulink, Rhapsody, Cameo, 3DX).AI & Digital SkillsPractical experience working with AI/ML or Generative AI solutions in engineering or enterprise workflows.Familiarity with LLMs, RAG pipelines, data pipelines, and cloud/edge AI architectures.Ability to translate AI capabilities into real automotive engineering value (not just PoCs).Automotive Domain KnowledgeStrong understanding of SDV, E/E architectures, ADAS, Connected Car, OTA, or EV systems.Knowledge of automotive validation, V&V, and safety-critical development.Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers is highly preferred.Preferred / Nice-to-HaveExperience with PLM/ALM integration (Teamcenter, 3DX, Jira, Jama).Exposure to digital thread / digital twin initiatives.Prior experience leading customer-facing automotive AI or MBSE transformations.MBA or Master's degree in Engineering (Systems, Automotive, or Software).Top SkillsTechnical Product ManagerMBSE (SysML, Simulink, Rhapsody, Cameo, 3DX)Practical experience working with AI/ML or Generative AI solutions in engineering or enterprise workflowsPreferred SkillsAutomotive Domain, SysML, Magic DrawJ-18808-Ljbffr
