Quality Control Technician

Preform Solutions, Inc. located in Sioux Falls, SD is a local, trusted, manufacturer of plastic products for the packaging industry, with over 20 years in Sioux Falls. Are you a problem solver? We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to ensure we are eliminating defects from our product, and providing the customers with a superior product to meet their needs. JOB DUTIES Work with the Quality Lead to pull samples of product for quality testing Visual inspection of product to identify quality issue Notate and document quality issues and findings on company forms as required Communicate work progress and issues to Quality Lead Assist with product sorting to identify and remove defective parts from job runs Assist with repackaging product as needed May need to assist in other general warehouse duties as time permits Willing to assist quality team with other job duties in the department KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Warehousing, production, or material handling Previous quality experience preferred Works well with others and as a team player Strong communication skills Ability to bend, stoop, reach overhead, and navigate the warehouse Self-motivated Detailed and organized Dedicated, dependable as well as good attendance Ability to work independently Excellent hand/eye coordination Computer skills, including Microsoft Office is preferred, but not required Available Shifts: Monday-Wednesday 7pm-7am, Thursday 7pm-1am Initial training will be Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm for 2-4 weeks; regular shift hours will start upon successful completion of training. Compensation: $21/hour to start + $1.25/hour shift differential for weekday nights This full-time position includes our comprehensive benefit package of PTO, Holiday Pay, Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, short-term/long-term disability, and 401k plan.
